CEL Student Services

Transportation from Airport: CEL is located 10 miles east of DFW International Airport.  When arrangements are made in advance, CEL will meet arriving students at the airport and drive them to CEL for a fee of $50.00.  Public transportation is also available - taxis, buses, and shuttles.

Housing: Students are responsible for making their own arrangements for housing and local transportation. CEL is located within walking distance of bus stop. One-bedroom apartments range from $500 upwards a month.

Other Services: Upon completion of registration procedures, if requested, CEL staff can assist the student in opening a bank account, securing a Texas Driving License and applying for health insurance. CEL also has Internet computer lab for e-mail, web access, language training, and games.

CEL Student Activities

Students and their teachers organize a number of off-campus field trips during the year, enabling students to become better acquainted with the Dallas - Fort Worth area and with American customs and lifestyles.  Field trips include visits to the Texas State Fair, Dallas Public Library, university and college campuses, shopping malls, and area lakes and gardens

CEL students and their teachers also organize a variety of social activities including picnics at nearby recreational parks and festive gatherings on campus.

At the beginning of each session, students and staff get together for an informal 'Pizza Day' orientation for the purpose of meeting new students, presenting diplomas rewarding accomplishments in the previous session, and introducing them to the CEL campus and its various programs and activities.
