Applying for Admission

Students entering on an F-1 Student Visa should submit the following documents:

Two copies of a Bank Letter certifying your sponsor's financial status.

The equivalent of at least U.S. $20,000.00 in savings is advised.

Last year of school transcript.

bullet

Money Order in the amount of U.S. $150.00 for the registration fee.

The $200 SEVIS I-901 Processing Fee may be paid through CEL or directly online at https://www.fmjfee.com/i901fee/



Visas:  CEL is authorized by the Department of Homeland Security to issue a Certificate of Eligibility Form (I-20) which the student must take to the American Embassy or Consulate in the student's native country to apply for a Student Visa (F-1 Visa).

Students entering on a B-2 (Tourist) or a B-1 (Business) Visa should complete the CEL Application Form and pay U.S. $50.00 for the registration fee.

Class Schedule and Tuition:  The Intensive English Program meets Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am - 1:00 pm. Evening class 6:00pm - 9:40 pm.  Tuition is $3,180.00 for 16 weeks.  Book costs are not included in the cost of tuition.  CEL also offers TOEFL Preparation courses.

The school reserves the right to change tuition and fees and make curriculum changes when necessary without prior notice.

F-1 Students please read the following:  F-1 students must attend the Intensive English Program full time.  When an F-1 student enrolls at CEL, he or she must pay for 16 weeks (4 months) of tuition in advance ($3,180.00).  After completing the first 16 weeks, the student pays $450 monthly.

All fees are quoted in U.S. dollars.


CEL Enrollment Policy:


1. New students whose initial I-20 was issued through CEL are required by CEL to initially register sisteen weeks (four sessions)

2. Local students enroll for one session at a time, and F-1 students enroll for one session at a time after the first 16 weeks.


Cancellation & Refund Policies: the registration fee is non-refundable.


Rejection and cancellation before the start of class:

  1. If CEL cancels a class, all monies paid will be refunded in full, including the registration fee.

  2. If a student's visa application is rejected, or if he or she is rejected for enrollment by CEL, all monied paid will be refunded, less the registration fees.

  3. If a student accepted by CEL cancels prior to the start of classes or never attends the class, all monies paid will be refunded, less the registration fees.

Withdrawal or termination after the start of class:

1. CEL is not obligated to give refunds to students who are terminated
    due to violations of CEL's written disciplinary or attendance policies,
    or violations of federal, state or local laws.

2. If a student enrolled for the initial 16 weeks period withdraws:
    First session - 80% refund of unexpended tuition, prorated according
    to last day of class attendance.
    Second session - 70% refund of unexpended tuition, prorated
    according to last day of class attendance.
    Third and fourth sessions - no refund is possible, except in
    extenuating circumstances.


All additional costs not included in the tuition fee are not subject to refund computation.


Refunds are made within 30 days from the date of the receipt of a refund request.
