Position: Teacher (Instructor)

A. General Scope of Responsibilities:
1. Practice excellence in teaching and instruction.
2. Demonstrate evidence of professional growth and academic currency.
3. Carry out the responsibilities specific to his/her area, department and/or program.
4. Effectively maintain an appropriate affective environment, control of voice modulation, pace of
instruction, and structure and vocabulary usage consistent with students’ proficiency levels and the
subject being taught.
5. Develop an appropriate class-specific plan of instruction that effectively integrates use of audio, video,
and computer software.
6. Ensure required course objectives are accomplished as scheduled
7. Contribute to the CEL community by participation in service activities.
B. Qualifications:
1. Professional knowledge of ESL/EFL principles, approaches, and methodology
2. Education: Master’s degree in education or in one of the following disciplines: Teaching English to Speaker of Other Languages (TESOL) / Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) / Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL); English as a Second Language (ESL) / English as a Foreign Language (EFL) AND at least two years of professional level experience teaching ESL/EFL

Position: Assistant Administrator

A. General Scope of Responsibilities:
1. Help and provide support to the office or department within their field.
2. Provide Administrator with routine reports and other requested information as needed.
3. Provide administrative and on-call coverage for the Administrator as requested.
4. Performs all other tasks as requested.
